Heidi Brescher, PhD, LCSW-QS, is a licensed clinical social worker in Florida and Idaho with professional experience spanning forensic mental health, crisis stabilization, violence prevention, domestic violence advocacy, and community behavioral health. Her work has included collaboration with law enforcement, child protective investigators, community agencies, and multidisciplinary teams serving high-risk and justice-involved populations.
Dr. Brescher has worked in violence prevention, forensic, and crisis settings conducting mental health assessments, treatment planning, case management, and psychoeducational services with adults and adolescents across a range of behavioral health and social service environments.
She completed her PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Louisiana Monroe in 2025. Her dissertation, A Phenomenological Exploration of the Recovery Experience Among Medication-Assisted Treatment Clients, explored the lived experiences of individuals engaged in medication-assisted treatment and reflects her broader interest in substance use treatment, recovery, and behavioral health systems.
In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Brescher has developed and facilitated professional trainings for clinicians, community organizations, and interdisciplinary partners on behavioral health, violence, and systems-related issues.
